Tuesday’s Tip: Homemade Syrup

I am very sorry that I have been neglecting you!  First, my parents were in town for my birthday, then I started a new job which has kept me very, very busy, then I lacked motivation to cook.  All those things together were not good for NewsforChews.  But, I am back with posts hopefully more frequently!

Today’s recipe is one I made over the weekend.  I wanted to make pancakes, but when I opened my fridge, I didn’t see any syrup.  I didn’t feel like walking to the store to purchase an entire bottle of syrup, so I looked up to see if I could find a homemade syrup recipe.  I found the below and drizzled it over my (Paleo) banana pancakes!  It turned out great, so next time you run out of syrup, turn to this recipe.

1/4 Cup Brown Sugar

1/4 Cup Granulated Sugar

1/4 Cup Water

1/8 TSP Vanilla
