Thirsty Thursday: Espresso Smoothie Bowl

It’s almost the weekend and I’m not going to lie, I need a bit of a pick-me-up today!  I’ve been running high on emotions since my parents are visiting and I turned 30 yesterday.  Enter today’s pick-me-up…an espresso smoothie adapted from from 200 Best Smoothie Bowl Recipes.  It is a delicious way to get a boost of coffee, but in a different form than the traditional cup of joe.  

1/2 Cup Milk

1/4 Cup Brewed Espresso, cooled

2 TSP Honey

1 TSP Cinnamon

1/2 Frozen Banana

2 TBSP Almond Butter

1 TBSP Cocoa Powder

Place all ingredients in a blender 

Blend until smooth and pour into bowl or cup

Sprinkle with toppings of choice, if desired

Breakfast is served!
