Thirsty Thursday: Vega Protein & Greens Smoothie

For my morning smoothies, I usually throw some greens into the blender, whether that is spinach, kale, or romaine, just to add some color and as a way to eat more greens.  So, when I run out of greens for my smoothie, I reach for my plant-based protein powder Vega Protein & Greens.  One scoop of the powder is the equivalent of TWO servings of veggies, has 20 grams of protein, and is only 110 calories.  Not only that, but the powder is also low-glycemic, gluten-free, vegan certified, non-GMO, and made without dairy or soy.  

So, add a scoop of this powder to your own smoothies, or shake in your shaker bottle with milk and/or water, and forgo that salad for lunch!  Here is one of my favorite recipes to make with the powder, as it has multiple flavors and tastes and keeps my taste buds happy.

1/2 Frozen Banana

1/2 Cup Frozen Mangos

1/2 Cup Frozen Raspberries

1/4 Cup Oats

1 Scoop Vega Protein & Greens 

1 TSP Cinnamon

1 TSP Vanilla

1 TBSP Hemp Seeds

Toppings of choice:

Freeze Dried Strawberries

Sliced Banana

Ground Flax Seed
