Meatless Monday-Almond Butter

I love eating peanut butter or almond butter, but I don’t like the oil, salt, and sugar that are sometimes included in the jars.  I also like going to Whole Foods and using the machine that turns the peanuts or almonds into the butters right in front of your eyes, but I realized I could make it just as easily at home.  Follow the images below for a homemade almond butter!

Simply put almonds in a food processor and process until smooth

You have to be patient and it may take awhile, but give up before the almond butter is nice and smooth.  My little machine needed a break after a bit because I could tell it was over working.  I just came back about an hour later and finished the process.  It took about 20 minutes of total processing time to get the final result.  You can use the images below as a reference!
