And, if you are planning on vacationing in South Carolina, the Charleston Tea Plantation is a must see! The Plantation is located in the heart of the South Carolina Lowcountry on the historic Wadmalaw Island, and is the ONLY tea garden in the United States! While on the plantation take a tour of the operating tea factory, learn how different teas are prepared, and tour the gardens! It is a fascinating trip and well worth it.
(While on Wadmalaw Island, you should also visit Irvin-House Vineyards, the only domestic winery in Charleston, South Carolina as well as the Angel Oak, a Live Oak tree that is believed to be over 1,500 years old.)
