Super Bowl Eats – Part 2: Pizza Monkey Bread

On Monday, I gave you a healthy veggie spring roll appetizer to serve your pod during the big game this weekend. Today and Friday’s recipes will be a bit more traditional Super Bowl fare. Today I bring you an option that combines together some of the best things–bread, cheese, pepperoni, pizza sauce and ranch. Pull-apart pizza aka pizza monkey bread. YUM! I made THIS cheesy monkey bread for the Super Bowl two years ago, but I think today’s recipe may overtake that recipe just because of the pepperoni. But, either are a great option to serve!

Ingredients:

  • 1 (16.3 oz) can refrigerated biscuits
  • 5-oz pepperoni
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan grated cheese
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 TBSP olive oil
  • 2 TSP Italian Seasonings
  • 1 1/2 TSP garlic powder
  • Marinara, for dipping
  • Ranch, for dipping

Instructions:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • Melt butter
  • Quarter biscuits with kitchen shears
  • Quarter pepperoni with kitchen shears

  • Add all the ingredients (except marinara and ranch) to a large bowl

  • Toss with your hands until well combined

  • Spray a 10-inch bundt pan (or 9×13 baking dish if you don’t have a bundt pan)
  • Pour mixture into the sprayed bundt pan

  • Bake for 35-45 minutes or until rolls are cooked on the inside and top is starting to brown (if the top starts to brown too much earlier, cover with tin foil)
  • Remove from oven and loosen edges of bread with a knife

  • Invert bundt pan on a serving platter
  • Serve with sides of warm marinara and ranch
  • Pull apart and enjoy!
