Thirsty Thursday: Carrot Cake Smoothie

On Easter I gave you a recipe for carrot cake.  I found that it is a love it or hate it kind of cake.  I made it for others, but forgot how good the cake is!  So, today I’m bringing you an inspiration in the form of a smoothie.  A carrot cake smoothie!  But, you won’t have to feel guilty about drinking this as it’s packed with healthy ingredients.  Give this a try if you love carrot cake and leave your verdict in the comments!

1 TBSP Almond Butter

1 Banana, frozen 

1/2 Cup Frozen Mango 

1/2 TSP Ginger 

1/2 TSP Ground Turmeric

1/2 TSP Cinnamon

1/2 TSP Vanilla

Juice of 1/2 Lemon

1 Medium Carrots

1/2 Cup Water

(or 1 Cup store bought carrot juice)

To prepare Carrot juice:

Slice 2 1/2 carrots in 2 inch pieces

Alternate carrots and water in juicer

To prepare smoothie, add all ingredients to blender and blend on high until smoothie is creamy and smooth
