Tuesday’s Tip: Heating a Pain Au Chocolat

It is no secret that I am a fan of everything France including the Eiffel Tower, Claude Monet, and the food…macarons, rose, ratatouille, beef bourguignon, and more.  But, one of my favorite foods is pain au chocolat.  It can be eaten at breakfast, snack-time, or even as an after dinner dessert.  Fortunately, there is an amazing French restaurant, Bottega Louie, around the corner from my job and last week I walked to get a few macarons.  There was one pain au chocolat left, so of course it was calling my name and I added it to my order.  Somehow, I forgot about about it and two days later I found the bag.  It was a bit stale, so I used this tip to give the pain au chocolate some life again.   


Spray a tin foil lined cookie sheet with cooking spray

Place pain au chocolat on cookie sheet

Place cookie sheet in oven

Turn oven on to 200 degrees

Once oven is finished preheating, remove cookie sheet from oven

This should provide a crispy pain au chocolat with a perfectly soft chocolate center
