I love drinking tea and I love being able to add a homemade flair to the tea, enter today’s recipe. It uses ginger, a relaxing and stomach calming tea, warming cinnamon, turmeric for the color (and turmeric is also in the ginger family), cayenne for a bit of spice, and vinegar, lemon, and honey to balance it all out. Follow the recipe below!
2 ginger tea bag
2 cups boiling water
Few dashes cinnamon, to taste (I like Ceylon cinnamon)
Few dashes ground turmeric, to taste
Few dashes cayenne pepper, to taste (use less if you don’t like heat)
1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
1 small lemon slice
1 TSP Honey

Turmeric Tea Ingredients
Bring water to a rolling boil
Place teabags inside
Steep tea for 7-8 minutes

Tea Steeping
Remove tea bags
Whisk cinnamon, turmeric, and cayenne until combined
Add the vinegar and squeeze in the lemon slice
Whisk to infuse the lemon
Whisk maple syrup, to taste, to combine
Serve immediately
