One of my favorite things about my gym is the selection of protein balls, shakes, and bars that they sell. But, I purchase them so frequently that I feel I am wasting my money. So, today I have made delicious matcha protein ball. I put them in my bag for a pre-workout snack or eat them once I get home for a little post workout refuel or even as dessert. Follow the recipe below!
2 Cups Oats
1/4 Cup Coconut Oil
1/4 Cup Honey
2 TBSP Coconut Flakes
2 TBSP Matcha Powder
1 Scoop Vanilla Protein Powder
Place oats in a food processor and process until oats have started to turn to a powder
Add matcha, coconut flakes, and protein powder
Pulse until just combined
Heat coconut oil in microwave (or on stove) until just melted
Place dry mixture in bowl
Stir in honey and melted coconut oil until combined
Roll into 9-12 balls (the mixture will be just wet enough to roll into balls and not fall apart)
Store in a sealed container in fridge until ready to enjoy!
I ate mine before or after a workout or as dessert! They are my favorite energy bites I have made so far!
