Last week I told you that American households are estimated to throw out approximately $640 worth of food each year, so for the next few weeks I am going to be giving you tips to help you reduce this food waste. With berries overflowing in the summertime, today’s tip is dedicated to them. Of course they should be eaten right away, but to extend the shelf life by a few days, wash them in a vinegar and water mix-one cup vinegar to three cups water.
