A few Saturdays ago, I had a dinner at Zinque on Melrose to celebrate my birthday with some of my best girl friends and mom. Zinque is one of my favorite restaurants in LA, as you can go there for a breakfast pastry, lunch, a midday coffee pick-me-up, or an after work drink! I also enjoy Zinque because when I dine on the outdoor patio, I feel like I’m escaping the hectic and busy LA life. I couldn’t wait to share it with the girls and my mom. I wanted placecards and flowers on the table, so I decided to combine both and make mason jar floral arrangements with namecards. Here is how it turned out!
Flowers from local market
Cut 2 pieces of cord per ball jar in assorted colors
Write names on sticky notes and punch holes in upper corners (I alternated between right and left
Wrap two pieces of twine around ball jar, knot, slide namecard onto twine and knot again
Tie twine into bow and secure one side of twine to namecard using clothespin
Carefully pour water to fill half of jar
Cut and arrange flowers to desired liking
Place on table to desired seating chart
What I’m wearing:
Rebecca Taylor Kiku Print Jumpsuit
Nissa Jewelry Collar necklace
Here is a picture of my amazing friends and mom who were kind enough to celebrate my birthday with me! They are a mixture of college, field hockey, and LA friends! I love you all for helping me celebrate another year and helping me make memories.
This is a beautiful and thoughtful arrangement for your guests and incorporates a floral arrangement and the seating chart. Give it a try for your next party!
Also, if you need help at Zinque, ask for Francis! I worked with him for my birthday party (and for a work event) and helped to make both amazing and memorable. He made even my birthday extra special and is a great manager. 🙂
