Tuesday’s Tip: How to store Basil

I have been doing today’s tip wrong for as long as I can remember!  I always store basil in the refrigerator, as I thought it would keep longer.  WRONG!!  Basil does not like the cold, which makes sense now as it always turned black if I didn’t use it up quickly.  To store the basil, simply cut the stems and place in a jar with a bit of water; just like cut you would fix flowers!  Then cover gently with a piece of plastic wrap and store on the counter!
