I try not to eat a lot of sweets and am really trying (try being the key words!) to eat as clean as possible this week, especially since my parents were in town and we did a lot of dining out. But, last night I went to a bachelorette dinner, and since most of the guests were out-of-towners, I decided to take cupcakes to celebrate. My trainer, yes my personal trainer, told me to get treats from The Confection Co-op, an LA-based bakeshop whose menu includes cupcakes (mini, regular, and jumbo sizes!), frosting shots, cookies, scones, muffins, waffles, Coolhaus Ice Cream, and Handsome Coffee Roasters. I took three flavors of cupcakes: vanilla cake with Nutella buttercream, chocolate cake with mint cookie buttercream, and carrot cake with vanilla cream cheese. (I also bought myself a vanilla chocolate chip cake topped with vanilla chocolate chip butter as an ode to yesterday being National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day!) Next time I am (or any of my LA based readers) are looking for a place to buy a sugary treat, this is the place to go! The cupcakes were the perfect amount of sweet, and the size of the cupcake is just right! While I didn’t taste every flavor, I knew from the moment I smelled the cupcakes, I would not regret eating every last bite of any one of the cupcakes! Head over to The Confection Co-op and try them for yourself! Let me know in the comments below or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and let me know which flavor(s) you tried!
