Tuesday’s Tip-How to store your leafy greens!

How many times have you gone to make a salad, toss leafy greens in the blender or juicer, or add a layer of greens to a sandwich and the greens have wilted or become slimy?  My answer is too often to count!  So, today’s tip is how to store these leafy greens, including spinach, kale, mesclun, arugula, and more!  When you get home from the store, simply divide your big container of greens into 2 to 4 smaller plastic bags.  Lightly close the top of the plastic bags with your fist and blow into the bag to fill it with air.  Then, firmly close the air-filled bag with a twist tie.  Place these bags in the fridge and your greens are saved!

Stay hungry…
