Meatless Monday-Homemade Almond Milk

Happy Monday.  Today’s recipe is one that I can not stop making because it is so simple.  It is a 2 ingredient almond milk.  Follow the recipe below!

1 Cup Raw Almonds

3 Cups Water

Pour almonds into a dish and cover with water (this water is not reflected in recipe)

Soak for 1 hour

Pour your milk over your morning cereal, add to a smoothie, or add to your coffee!  This milk will last for approximately 3 days in the fridge.  I also flavor my almond milk with vanilla, but you can leave plain, or you can add desired spices.  After you make this milk once, you will never buy another store-bought container of almond milk.  The consistency of the homemade milk will be a little thinner than the store bought versions, but I think a homemade version is better than the store bought version any day!
