Tuesday’s Tip-Cooling Your Wine

How many times have you forgotten the wine to entertain or decided to entertain (or just enjoy some wine yourself) at the last moment?  And, of course, you have to buy the non-chilled bottle at the store.  You put in the fridge in hopes that it will chill in time only to open the bottle, pour yourself a glass, and have a sip of lukewarm wine.  Not what you thought, right?  Well, easy and simple solution…put your wine in the freezer for about 20 minutes instead of the fridge.  This will cool your wine to the perfect temp and you will have the perfect glass of wine!

  1. Great tip, also you can keep a wine glass or 2 in the freezer (risking breakage of course). My new favorite way to chill the wine quickly: I destemmed and froze a bag of grapes. They are great for a snack, or to use as ice cubes that don’t water down your drink.
