I always look forward to the weekends. Why? Not because I don’t have to work (well, that may be a slight reason), but because I have the opportunity to make a meal in my crock pot. If you don’t like to cook or don’t think you can, you MUST invest in a crock pot! Pretty much throw any ingredients you want into the crock pot and put on low for a few hours, and you will have a great meal. And the best part is that you don’t need to follow a recipe. I made this recipe up on my own, and it turned out better than I expected! Try this one out if you don’t have the courage not to follow a recipe!
1 Pack of Chicken
1 Container Portobella Mushrooms
1 Container Shitake Mushrooms
6 Ounces White Pearl Onions
1 Cup Frozen Green Beans
1/2 Cup Alfredo or White Sauce
1/2 Cup White Wine
Salt, Pepper, Onion Powder, Garlic Salt to taste
Clean chicken and place in crock pot sprayed with olive oil
Add wine, sauce, and spices
Cover and cook on low for 6 hours
After 6 hours, use 2 forks and shred chicken
Add mushrooms, pearl onions, and green beans
Add spices again and stir to combine all ingredients
Cover and cook on low for 2 hours
Serve immediately. Can top with Parmesan cheese if desired.
Stay hungry…
