A staple for dinner in my apartment is chicken in a bag. Easy preparation, easy clean up, lots of options, and lots of taste! This is perfect for people who aren’t big cooks, don’t have a lot of time, and like to prepare multiple meals for a week. I made these last night and cooked one for dinner, one for lunch the next day, and put 3 in the freezer for whenever I am too busy or don’t feel like preparing dinner. For each “bag” you will need a chicken breast or a few chicken tenders and veggies of choice!
Preheat oven to 350
Place chicken breast or tenders in middle of tin foil
Season with black pepper, onion powder, and garlic salt
Place assortment of vegetables on top
Season again with black pepper, onion powder, and garlic salt
Place 1/2 TBSP of butter in middle of chicken and veggies
Drizzle some Olive Oil on top (You can also can add a splash of white wine that is in your fridge)
Fold tin foil over to completely seal
Cook in oven for 25 minutes
Ground red pepper
Red pepper flakes
(I didn’t put butter or olive oil on pea pesto since there already is olive oil in the pest0)
I use a mixture of fresh and frozen veggies and the possibilities can be endless! You can prepare your chicken in a bag on a weekend and freeze what you won’t cook that night. Defrost the day of and pop in the oven! You will have a quick, easy, and nutritious meal! Have a suggestion for your go-to easy meal? Leave it in the comments below!
