Hot Pretzels

I normally don’t eat a lot of foods with white flour, but this recipe is on top of the list when I do.  When I am home, my dad and I fight over my mom’s hot pretzels, so I typically have to make my own batch (or batches)!  I wanted to share the recipe with you as a way to spice and change up your normal pretzels!  This is a quick and easy recipe, and makes a great substitution to popcorn, or is a great nibble to serve at a party!

Preheat oven to 200 degrees

2 16-ounce Bags of Snyder Nibbles Pretzels

1 Cup Olive Oil

1 Package Hidden Valley Original Ranch Salad Dressing and Season Mix (in salad dressing aisle)

1 TSP Garlic Salt

Anywhere from 1 to 2 TSP Ground Cayenne Red Pepper (1 TSP is on the mildly spicy side and 2 TSP if you like spicy)

Mix the above ingredients together in a measuring cup.  (I use a fork to mash the dry Ranch dressing).

Mixture

Pour the pretzels in a bowl and use a large spoon or rubber spatula to get the nibbles covered with sauce.

Pretzels

Place heavy duty aluminim foil on 2 rimmed “cookie” pans

Spread the seasoned nibbles on the 2 sheets

Hot Pretzels

Bake in the oven for approximately 70-90 minutes.

About every 20 minutes, shake the pan and change the nibbles position in the oven.  Let cool and enjoy!  I keep mine in the freezer to preserve them a little longer…if they last!

Stay hungry!
